North of No South

Words by Simon Neil

Southless,
There’s nothing below, up above us is only
Darkness.
I poke at my eyes just to prove they’re no longer
Worthless.
And all I see is black, and all I see is black
Blinded.
There’s no brightness coming back,
No brightness coming back.

Have you ever been a place from which you couldn’t leave,
But, of course, you couldn’t stay?

Can you feel it?
I gave it all, you could take it or leave it.
You stick around just to blame it on someone else.
You had a choice, and you chose to believe it,
Now your North has gone out West.

Northless
There’s nothing above us, below us are only
Corpses.
They’re glass-eyed, and stuffed with suspicions, but constantly
Muted.
They’ve finally found a home, they’ve finally found a home,
In Heaven.
But who knows where they’re going,
Yeah, who knows where they’re going ?

Have you ever been a place in which you couldn’t breathe,
But of course you couldn’t say?

Can you feel it?
I gave it all, you could take it or leave it.
You stick around just to blame it on someone else.
You had a choice, and you chose to believe it,
Now your North has gone out West.

We’ve found our true North, but our head’s in your mouth.
We know what we’re worth now we’ve removed the shroud.

Can you feel it?
I gave it all, you could take it or leave it.
You stick around just to blame it on someone else.
You had a choice, and you chose to believe it,
Now your North has gone out West.
