dear neglected diary readers and Biffy fans.

Yet again I’ve let the weeds grow tall, and the creatures run wild in the lush tropica of the Biffy web diary.

We’re about half way into our UK tour… our biggest headline tour to date, as it goes…

We like to refer to it amongst ourselves as the "two tourbusses, two trucks, 40 odd people, and 3 amazing bands-per-night tour"

So we’ve got some beautiful bands on the tour with us…

The Matches have came all the way from Oakland (just outside San Francisco, google-earthers) to tour with us. Nine Black Alps joined us in Scotland, and we’ve currently got a couple of shows left with Forward, Russia, whose new album is a bit special…

Definitely two reasons to get down early.

We’ve not had any dramas so far… The sound and lighting desks took a few hits on the first night, from stray pints, but other than its all good (apart from the crew bus, who all came down with a horrendous flu on the second night of the tour… poor loves)

We’re "touring production" on this, as they say in the game…

Basically, instead of using the lights and PA systems in each venue, we have our own systems that live in two massive trucks, and are installed in each venue on the day. We also have our own catering, which is absolutely magical, the benefit of which can’t really be quantified in words or numbers…

I hope to be able to post some photos at some point, to show you how the magic really happens, so keep your fingers and toes crossed (if you have any dexterity left in either, as it seems to have been colder than a snowball of late)

Anyway.
much love from us all, and more in a bit.x
