little updates from behind the curtain….

since we spoke last, we’ve been to Berlin once, Hamburg twice, to Ben’s House in Ayrshire, a quick trip to Brighton, and to Paris. The band have played a couple of shows, and given many many interviews…. Hello.

nice bit of sunshine we had last week.

since we spoke last, we’ve been to Berlin once, Hamburg twice, to Ben’s House in Ayrshire, a quick trip to Brighton, and to Paris. The band have played a couple of shows, and given many many interviews.

Since we spoke last, the band’s new record has been mastered, inlays have been approved, different versions checked, and things are cracking on for a November 9th release. Its exciting.

For the first time, we’ve found ourselves away on tour without actually being on tour. Usually everyone is at home for a week or so beforehand, which gives the band time to rehearse, and everyone time to pack a suitcase.

We are currently due to leave on Sunday afternoon, to go down to London for the band’s appearance on Jools Holland… We won’t see our homes again until December 22nd. After Jools we’ve got quite a few promo things in London and in various parts of Europe… including a couple of live shows, some announced, some not announced… Within 24 hours, the band are playing a show in Kentish Town (not difficult to track down the details for that one) and another in a far more central location. Somewhere with big glass windows and great laptops. Not sure if that one is out and about yet though, so we’ll say no more for the time being.

back to the album…

there’s a deluxe edition, as you may have noticed.
its definitely worth getting excited about. Some very cool things within.

Not least, its your only opportunity to pick up Only Revolutions on vinyl (highlighting a serious irony in the album title)

The first 500 people who ordered it will get a beautiful signed print by Storm. The other 1500 still get the print, just not the signature. So still wonderful.

I spent some time with the good people of Forest of Black, a Glasgow-based on a film to accompany the CD/DVD version of the record. The result is a 45 minute film, documenting an 8 week period in Los Angeles. It even has a name. Voice and Electrical Noises.

I think that comes with the deluxe edition as well. Bonus.

more bloggage soon.
I wrote a huge one, a proper long one, and then lost it when I hit submit. That happened on thursday and was very disheartening.

anyway..
