IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

Wed 02 Dec 2009 | Views: 6378 | Comments: 19

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND It is with great regret that we must announce the postponement of the band's shows in Australia and New Zealand, scheduled for around the new year.

Unfortunately, it is the case that both Simon and James require minor medical procedures, for conditions that whilst not yet serious, will become debilitating if not attended to. It has become apparent that the only window that these operations can take place, will in the same period that we were planning to perform in Australia and New Zealand.

We are planning to announce rescheduled dates in both Sydney and Melbourne very shortly, and are currently aiming to be back in Australia in early May, and hope to expand our tour beyond the original 4 shows.

We send our profuse apologies to everyone concerned, and will be back with information on the rescheduled shows very soon.

Get your butts down to NZ and rock the Shaky Isles! Seriously folks. An Auckland and a Christchurch show would be the best thing that ever happened!

if you reschedule get yourselves out to nz to make up for the disappointment, i spent a fortune on tickets flights for rythmn and vines, i am gutted like a lot of fans down here...the only way to make it up if you are genuine is to put on a few shows in New Zealand and not to shaft us with hollow words, you owe it to the fans, real fans

Good luck with getting better Simon and James! Although my best wishes go out to you both, this is the BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD IN WEEKS!! (sorry people who already had tickets in the intention of getting to see Biffy) I felt like my heart had been torn out when I knew it would be impossible to get to the Rhythm & Vines gig (5 months preganant and a 5 hour car journey dont really mix...). Been waiting for you guys to come and tour New Zealand ever since moving from England in 2006. The years have gone by and i'd lost all hope! Now i am OVER THE MOON that there's another chance of being able to listen to the most incredible musicians i've laid my ears on (your music takes me somewhere in my mind that nothing else ever has...been listening for about 6 years and I have never found anyone else to compare..they never would - you are all incredible... Some would call it unhealthy but I still listen just as much now as I ever did and never get tired of your songs) Even my baby knows how great your music is, he kicks everytime i play you! So thankyou for giving me some more hope - now i am just hoping you play a gig in Auckland...or even a small gig in Hamilton!?! I can dream...and will keep dreaming - don't think i'd ever get over it if you guys just went to OZ and forgot about New Zealand - it's beautiful here; and only a teeny tiny trip from OZ :) p.s.LOVE the new album, just as much as the first ones. Many of Horror is epic x

There is more to this than meets the eye it would seem as you've let it slip that you're going to Japan in early February and I do recall that you played a couple of shows there before coming to Australia in 2008 to play 3 shows. Does this mean Neil that you'll jet into Australia after the Japan shows or are your "already scheduled USA commitments" gonna prevent you from doing that. I hope for the sake of myself and all the other Biffy fans residing in Australia that you do return in May because I'm absolutely gutted about this. I had tickets to see Janes Addiction at the Hordern back in July and they cancelled due to the drummer being in hospital. I haven't had the chance to see you guys since Wiesbaden in April on a lovely spring evening and since then I've emigrated to Australia so I think you owe me big time by playing a show at the Warners Bay bandstand when you come over... and if you're gonna play more shows then play in Newcastle as its only 2 hours north of Sydney. Have a great new year coz you've just pissed half a dozen apprentices and myself by cancelling all these shows, especially the mighty Pyramid Rock Festival. Enjoy your olivio and by the way the weather is fuckin roasting here plus the medical system is far better. Merry Xmas Alan Duffin

Would it not have been better cancelling Muse shows and doing it then? Not sure if that was possible? Feel for the guys in Oz and NZ who have arranged and booked flights accommodation time off work etc.
