Copenhagen Show Cancelled

Sat 19 Dec 2009 | Views: 3430 | Comments: 14

Dear All.
It is with regret and frustration that we must cancel tonight's show in Copenhagen.
Our tour bus started to experience problems late last night, continuing into the early hours of this morning, finally breaking down in northern Germany. We pushed on as much as possible, until it became apparent that the bus would not be able to complete the journey to Copenhagen. The cold weather has frozen the pipes of the engine of the bus,and damaged the engine.
The bus is now in a garage in Germany, being worked on, and we are hopeful that we will be able to continue on later tonight, for tomorrow's show in Rotterdam.

We would like to apologise to everyone in Copenhagen who was going to to see the show tonight, and assure you that we are as disappointed as you, that tonight's show will not go ahead.

yes, the show in bochum 21. dec. 2009 had been canceled, too. and also it was the second time that we get that sad message. first time the november show and now in cause of bad weather and tourbus fixing??? hmm

I feel that the Biffy camp ought to recompensate in some shape of form for many of our losses! I think it is almost rude to cancel only 6 hours before you have a scheduled show! We lost a lot of money travelling by train to a cancelled show actually 5 times the ticket prize each. And I even doublechecked the internet before going, but the cancellation was posted far too late! I mean 5 hours prior to a show with 2 bands. What about sound check? And it the second time the concert was cancelled in Copenhagen even though the first time came with a sufficient notice! Was there a insufficient ticket sale and staying in the Netherlands was the wisest choice? Or was someone to hammered to perform? I feel that we need some further clarification on the matter! I believe that other concerts have been canceled to! :(

Just another sad story here aswell. Three friends and myself took the journey from eastern Norway only to find the "show cancelled"-sign on the door. Been looking forward to this consert for a long time. Well, well. Thank heavens for the Danish alcohol prices. At least I'll see you guys in Oslo in February. Can't wait.

I feel your pain I really do. I moved over to Australia from Scotland in April and couldn't wait to see Biffy at New Year over here only for them to cancel due to operations. Its shit it really is and all those fans in the UK who moan about Biffy not playing their city or town or village should take a reality check right now... its fuckin pants absolute shit. To all you moaning minnies on this forum get a fuckin grip. How often to Biffy play Scandinavia or Australia, not often in fact until 2008 they'd never even been to Australia to play so shut yer mouths and get off yer arses like we do. You get more frequent opportunities and can buy tickets to shows on this website. I hate to hear of people losing a lot of money to see bands because thats what they love to do... that money can never be replaced. I'm really sorry for you folks who missed out, again I feel your pain. Merry Xmas and wish them back soon. Alan Duffin Merry Xmas

It was supposed to say 700 euro below but the euro-sign doesnt seem to work that well on this page.

Me and my girlfriend travelled from Stockholm only for this concert and found out outside the door to Loppen that the show was cancelled. We made hotel and flight reservations back in August when the first date was announced. The first date was changed from November to December and we lost about €300 at that point because we had to cancel both the hotelroom and plane tickets and make new ones for December instead (we couldnt reschedule them). Well we got to see Copenhagen, but we would never have gone there if it werent for this concert (that never happened). In total we spent €700 on this one-day trip to nothing. =(

Another very disappointed Biffy fan here. I travelled from London to visit my mate Stevo who lives in Denmark and we stayed in Copenhagen especially to see the gig at Loppen. Unfortunately we didn't get to hear it had been cancelled until we got to the venue and to make matters worse my flight out of London was delayed by 8 hours due to the snow! Luckily I've seen the Biff before and will see them again in London in May but Stevo hasn't yet had the pleasure so I had to drown his sorrows with large quantities of alcohol. Good luck for the rest of the tour. Dreipner - I hope you get to see your favourite band soon (we saw you outside Loppen). 'Mon the Biffy! Russ

Talk about major disappointment Biffy Clyro canceling their copenhagen show. Many o' fans came from from whole Scandinavia. We came from southern Denmark and paid a lot of money to see one of our favorite bands. No other transportation possibilities at all? Nevertheless the cancellation came all too late. The frustation will accompany for quite a while and I'm sad that one of my favorite bands of all time is the source. Well happy trails I guess! Sorry but I'm too let down right now to to view the situation in a proper perspective.

That's such a shame =( My friend and I traveled from Stockholm this morning to Copenhagen to see our favorite band, didn't realize until we came to Loppen that the show was canceled... So now we have wasted a lot of time and money at the flight and a hotel-room in Copenhagen, and I hereby DEMAND you to come to Stockholm next year to make it up for us =)

Thank you for informing us with a good message and information :o) We were really looking forward to it and were going to travel from Sweden for it, but these things happen... so best of luck for the rest of the tour and hope to catch you back here or in the UK some time! Have a good Christmas and New Year! James
